Our Vancouver OG: SANDEEP
When it came time to launch MaryJane & Paint in Vancouver, there was only one name Cyrile had in mind, her ride-or-die from John Oliver High School in the '90s, and one of the most accomplished artists in the game: Sandeep.
With over 21 years of experience as a BC-certified art educator, Sandeep brings both heart and hustle to every canvas. A true force in Vancouver’s creative scene, she holds a Bachelor’s in Studio Arts and a Bachelor’s in Secondary Art Education from UBC, plus an Animation Diploma from the Vancouver Film School. Translation? She doesn’t just paint, she brings worlds to life.

The Mastermind Behind the MaryJane & Paint Art Library: KIM
From the moment she could hold a crayon, Kim’s world was art. Handpicked as one of only 10 gifted children in Manitoba to train at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, her creative path started early, but her journey? That’s where it gets wild.
At age 9, Kim discovered henna, a spark that flickered quietly until it reignited with full force in adulthood. What began as a favor for a friend turned into a full-blown passion that took her across the globe. From studying and teaching in India, Australia, and all over North America, to headlining face and body paint conventions and earning her spot in magazines and on TV.
Her toolbox? Everything from clay, prosthetics, and henna to full-body paint. She’s customized UGG boots, worked with the Manitoba Museum and Winnipeg Art Gallery, body painted for comic conventions in Calgary and Winnipeg, and even performed live art at Taboo shows with Ace Angels.

Kim is ICNHA certified, upholding the highest standards in safety, hygiene, culture, and technique. She’s not just an artist, she’s a movement. And now? She's the creative powerhouse behind our entire MaryJane & Paint art library. Every wild, bold, and cannabis-inspired canvas you see… that’s her magic. 💚
Teaming up with Cy has brought a new level of energy and laughter to her career. Whether you’re painting joints on rocket ships or blazing suns in the forest, Kim brings elite artistry and good vibes wherever we go.

Sandeep spends her days inspiring the next generation of creators as a high school art teacher, and her nights lighting up our workshops with unmatched talent and energy. Whether it’s helping a first-timer spark their creativity or putting her own spin on a puffed-out masterpiece, she’s the magic behind so many of the unforgettable moments at MJ&P.
Sandeep isn’t just part of MaryJane & Paint Vancouver, she is the Vancouver chapter. She’s art, she’s passion, she’s certified fire. 🔥
Our ALBERTA Artist: JODI
Meet Jodi, our Alberta artist and a creative force who first dove into art during the COVID era teaching herself along the way. Her work spans a mix of materials, from acrylic and oil paints to wood and resin, always pushing boundaries and experimenting. Outside the studio, she’s out in nature with her dogs, Mace and Tiny, either wandering the river valley or relaxing at the dog park.
Joanne’s latest passion project, “Touch,” is an interactive exhibit made for those with limited vision, inviting them to experience art in new ways. She’s all about sharing the joy of creativity, encouraging newcomers to pick up a brush and express themselves something she brings to every MaryJane & Paint night she leads.​
